Bringing Baby Home

Bringing Baby Home is an evidence-based skills workshop program that focuses on baby-proofing partners' relationships and lives for the transition to parenthood.

Bringing Baby Home (BBH) is a psychoeducational, skills-based curriculum that was built with over 20 years worth of research from relationship and parenting experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman. The material is especially geared towards pregnant and postpartum parents with children ages 0-3, however it is appropriate and helpful for parents of all ages.

Bringing Baby Home workshops help provide couples and individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to support a healthy relationship between both partners and their children. Here are some of the learning goals you will accomplish in this 12-hour workshop::

  • Strengthen the friendship between co-parents
  • Increase intimacy and affection
  • Learn and practice essential communication skills
  • Maintain relationship satisfaction
  • Reduce hostility
  • Create positive baby-parent interactions
  • Ensure quality involvement for both parents
